National White Wine Day

Category: FAQs

They say that white wine doesn’t always go with red meat, but we can discredit that myth for you. There are numerous wines to blissfully sip on as you munch on your post-work protein snack. We’re not wine experts, but we’ve carefully curated several selections that complement our beef sticks. Here’s a bite-sized list of enticing white wines paired with their meaty companions. But first, let’s talk about what makes white wine special – So special that it has its own day.

National White Wine Day 101

Every year on August 4th, we raise a glass of appreciation to white wine. Whether it’s being poured into your long-time favorite fancy glass or being used in a recipe, this fermented liquid is basically pure gold. Different versions of white wine are dictated by the growing region, temperature, and grape type. That’s why there are Sauvignon Blancs, Rieslings, and more. On average, it takes 600-800 grapes to create one 750 ml bottle of wine, so, choose and enjoy wisely.

1. Martha Stoumen – Out to the Meadow

This women-owned winery looks to recapture winemaking with patience and peace. This white wine creates flavor harmony, and according to Martha Stoumen, it’s Cali in a bottle.

  • Has a touch of sweet honey cream and oyster mushroom flavors
  • Full-bodied, refreshing, and best served lightly chilled
  • An easygoing accompaniment to mouthwateringly savory beef stick

Best Pairing: Original Beef Stick

Our Lorissa’s Kitchen® Original Beef Stick is made with 100% grass-fed beef and it’s what you want for a quick protein fix. These perfectly tender sticks are seasoned with a delicious blend of savory spices like garlic, onion, and black pepper. Craveable during or after a pour of your favorite Sauvignon Blanc.

2. Avaline – White

Avaline looks to simple organic ingredients and skips out on the undesired extras. A lightly chilled glass in one hand and a Lorissa’s Kitchen® beef stick in the other sounds like the ideal way to celebrate.

  • Less than 1g of sugar per serving
  • Dry, crisp, and sharp with a hint of peach blossom and tropical fruit
  • A touch of fruit balances the smoky spice of the beef stick

Best Pairing: Jalapeño Beef Stick

This zesty beef stick contains real jalapeño and is seasoned with savory hints of garlic, onion, and red pepper. The best things in life are made with love, and this one will make its way right into your daily routine. It’d pair well with a few sips of Pinot Gris after a long day.

Cheers!

A busy schedule isn’t always easy to manage but remember to sprinkle some white wine here and there while you’re at it.
